Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded in India by Guru Nanak, during the 15th century. According to the Sikhs, Guru Nanak and the following nine Gurus were sent by God to deliver his message. Their teachings are compiled in the Holy Scripture of the Shiks, Guru Granth Sahib Ji, which is considered as the eleventh and last Guru. Sikhs believe in a single God, who has no form or gender, to whom everyone has direct access and before whom everyone is equal.
